WSBK : At the age of 39, Carlos Checa made a season of exception to clinch his maiden world title : 22 podiums among which 15 wins. Behind him, Marco Melandri find back the way to victory on the Yamaha R1. Max Biaggi couldn't retain his crown and finishes 3rd of the series. >>> full standings
WSS : Aboard the Yamaha R6 titled in 2009 with Cal Crutchlow, Chaz Davies claimed his first world title, thanks to six wins. His team-mate Luca Scassa and the Kawasaki rider Broc Parkes, too unconsistant, respectively finished 5th and 4th of the championship.
