Recruited by KTM in 2005, he took his maiden win at the 2005 British GP and claimed a 3rd position at the 2006 Japanese GP. The two following campaigns in the 250 cc were disappointing and Julian Simon returned to 125 cc in Aspar Martinez's team. With 12 podiums, among which 7 victories, he dominated the season 2009. In 2010, with the same team, he discovered the new category Moto2. Five times 2nd, Julian Simon achieved a runner-up final ranking and targets in 2011 his first win and the crown in the intermediate class.
