Broc Parkes started his apprenticeship of racing in dirt track at the age of 3. As soon as he had the minimum age required, he switched to road racing. In 1998 and 1999, he won all the Australian series he took part in. Broc Parkes moved to Japan in 2000 to contend the X-Formula championship in Moriwaki colours. He finished 3rd overall and secured a World Superbike ride for 2001. He lived two rather difficult seasons due to a lack of financial resources but although finished 16th and 11th. In 2003, he turned to World Supersports with BKM Honda. Recruited by the Ten Kate team following BKM's withdrawal at the end of the season, Broc Parkes finished as 2004 runner-up behind his team-mate and compatriot Karl Muggeridge. From 2005, he raced for Yamaha claiming 5 wins and 10 poles but without managing to conquer the title. In 2009, he took up the Kawasaki challenge. Although he gave his best, Broc Parkes recorded three 10th places as best results. His adventure with the CRS team stopped after the summer 2010 and he got relaunched in World Supersports with Kawasaki. After a promising season start, Broc Parkes lacked of regularity and claimed a further 4th final place in the series.
