Karl Muggeridge tasted racing with motocross bikes. He switched to circuit in 1994 in the 250 cc production Australian championship. He's ridden supersport bikes (600 cc) from 1996, in Australia and in Great-Britain (4th in 1999). Newcomer in the World Superport championship in 2000, Karl Muggeridge had a brilliant season (one victory and three poles). His performances gave him the opportunity to get a ride in the official Suzuki team for the following season. Not competitive enough, he was sacked at the end of the season and joined a satellite Honda team in 2002. After this season of transition, he took a new start with the Ten Kate Honda team. As his team-mate, Chris Vermeulen, won the title, Karl Muggeridge dominated the end of the season with three victories in a row. He confirmed his talent in 2004 : he earnt seven more wins and the title. The following season, he started in the Superbike class but never reached the performance level of his team-mates (Chris Vermeulen in 2005 and James Toseland in 2006). In 2007, he took part in the championship with the new Alto Evolution team, which met some difficulties (bikes robbed...). A season to forget ...
