Before entering the world championship, Andrea Iannone has raced in Italy and Spain. He claimed his maiden win at the 2008 GP of China in the 125 cc class; he added three further victories to his credit in 2009. His move to the new category Moto2 was a success : eight podiums, among which three wins, five poles and a 3rd overall position. In 2011, Andrea Iannone races for the Speed Master team, in which is involved Uccio Salucci, Valentino Rossi's faithful friend.
