When he took part in his first whole World Superbike season in 1995, Troy Corser already had a solid credit : 250 cc (1991) and Superbike (1993) Australian champion, AMA Superbike champion (1994). Runner-up for his first campaign, Troy Corser was crowned in 1996. His move to the 500 cc class in 1997 was a failure and he returned to World Superbikes, still with Ducati. After two consecutive 3rd positions, he joined the Aprilia team in 2000. He finished once more 3rd and 4th in 2001. Then, he accepted the proposal of his former teammate Carl Fogarty to ride the new FP1 but the team delayed his entry to 2003. Difficult to master, the bike didn't allowd Troy Corser to battle out for the victory. Recruited by Suzuki in 2005, Troy Corser clinched the title, the only one in the series for the manufacturer from Hamamatsu. In 2006, in spite of two victories in the early season, he faced too many problems to defend his title and signed for Yamaha in 2007. Regularly on the rostrum without winning any race, he claimed a 5th and a 2nd position. Since 2009, the "Crocodile" is BMW's leader rider. 2011 may be his last chance to win a third world title.
