When he took part in his first full season in the World Superbike championship in 1995, Troy Corser already had a solid credit : 250 cc (1991) and Superbike (1993) Australian champion, AMA Superbike champion (1994). Vice-champion for his first season, Troy Corser was titled in 1996. His move to the 500 cc class in 1997 was a failure and he returned to the World Superbike championship, still with Ducati. After two consecutive 3rd places, he joined the Aprilia team in 2000. He finished once more 3rd and 4th in 2001. Then, he accepted the proposal of his former team-mate Carl Fogarty to ride the new FP1 but the team delayed his entry to 2003. Difficult to master, the bike didn't allowed Troy Corser to battle out for the victory. Troy Corser was recruited by Suzuki in 2005 to ride the GSX-R 1000. Troy Corser won the title, the only in the class for the manufacturer from Hamamatsu. In 2006, in spite of two victories in the early season, he faced too many problems to defend his title. In 2007, Yamaha recruited him, beside Noriyuki Haga, to take benefit of his immense experience of racing. Regularly on the podium without winning any race, he finished the season in 5th position and was confirmed by his team for 2008.
