Max Biaggi's dream was to become a football star. Instead of this, he's one of the best riders of the two last decades. He made racing debut in little fortuitously on the advice of a friend. He quickly graduated the levels and his european title in the 250 cc class put him on the way to Grand Prix. For his first season, he won the last rund at Kyalami (South Africa). He replaced Luca Cadalora in Erv Kanemoto's team in 1993. He had a good season (one win and four other top-3 finishes) ut joined back the Aprilia squad in 1994. He began his fantastic domination over this championship winning four titles in a row : ahead of Tadayuki Okada in 1994, in 1995, Ralf Waldmann in 1996 and 1997. This season, he braved his former employer and took up this challenge. In 1998, he switch to the 500 cc class and won his first Grand Prix at Suzuka. Max Biaggi became immediately the rival of Mick Doohan but couldn't beat him. In 1999, he joined the Yamaha factory team and worked to improve the bike (he finished fourth). In 2001, Kenny Roberts Jr was crowned ahead of Valentino Rossi and Max Biaggi. In 2001 and 2002, he finished vice-champion but never gave up. He had big hopes when he joined the Honda Pons team but The Doctor was stil ahead, on board of the Yamaha M1 from 2004. Max Biaggi was recruited by the Honda factory team in 2005 but didn't win any race. His harsh words upon his team forced him to quit MotoGP. He found a new ride with Suzuki in Superbike for the '2007 season. He won the opening round and was still battling out for the title at the final round. He eventually finished third. Will this good give Max Biaggi new opportunities to come back in MotoGP ?
