Contending the 500 World Grand Prix championship in 2001, he didn't finish the season because of a lack of results. Then, he took part in World Superbikes from 2002 to 2006 with Kawasaki, Ducati (2003) and FPR (2004).

For his comeback the following season, he clinched the Italian Superstock title and finished runner-up at the European level. XL 1000's little daughter, the 125 Varadero Honda was launched in 2001. This copy is a '2006 model. It rolls every day and its miloleter already displays 63 000 kilometers. During the '2006 winter , I wanted to try my hand at making comics. Because of a lack of time, I only carried rough scketches about the "Baa Baa Black Sheep" TV broadcast. In 2007, the Stoner-Ducati-Bridgestone trio won its first MotoGP title. Before the French Grand Prix, the young Australian had already obtained three victories from four races. After a buzy winter, the others contenders have improved to battle out for victory again : Yamaha and Honda riders are satisfied with the progress of their new bikes.
