News - Mon petit atelier at the Grand Prix of France
05/31/2011

On the invitation of Lucio Cechinello, LCR MotoGP manager, and to celebrate the partnership with Elf, event title sponsor for the French round, I've made two watercolours "live" on the Bugatti circuit. The Saturday of race week end is the moment when the paddock turns into effervesence. As the teams arrived on the Wednesday, the riders are presents since the Thursday and began to practise on the Friday, the teams guests linger in the pathes of the paddock. That the time we chose ; on the Sunday everyone is focused on the track.
In ealy afternoon, I settled on the bar of the hospitality and began my work. This experience was a premiere because I had never painted in public. With an excellent musical atmosphere (Jamiroquai), I made two watercolours during the afternoon : one of Toni Elias in action; the other representing a mechanic refuelling the RCV 212. I also discovered the life of an hospitality. Guests come and go, savour a coffee or a soda and return to linger. The whole crew pamper them. The grid girls get set for a photo shooting. Everyone knows perfectly his part.
9:00 pm, the working day is over for the technical team. That's also the time for the gala dinner . I'm ready for giving ceremony with the Elf representatives. A great time !
