Influences - Brittany - 2010
02/26/2009

Continuation of my series about landscapes from Brittany. This region is a subject that always inspires me... There's so much to do ! These two watercolours are about the area of Brest that I travelled all over, on roads and tracks.

A twenty kilometers or so from Brest, the pointe Saint-Mathieu is a famous place of tourist attraction. From it, we can see, when the weather is good, the Molène and Ushant (Ouessant) islands.

Not far from there, the Kerloas menhir is less known. However, 10 meters tall, this mégalithe is registered historic monument and is the tallest in Europe. I saw it for the first time in 1997 as it was on the way of the Rand'Iroise mountain bike trail.
