When I decided, one year ago, to increase the rythm of the updates, I haven't imagined the work it would represent. I wanted to make my website more dynamic and maintain the number of artworks. It's a success. Now, Mon petit atelier is well settled on the Internet and gets between 20 and 30 visits each day. For this, I have to work daily, by drawing, painting or writing articles. The '2007 balance is very positive. Once more, I was present at the MotoGP and WSBK rounds in Le Mans and Magny-Cours. I made my artworks signed. The meeting with Sylvain Guintoli remains my best memory. I thank him again for having trusted me and asked me to make six watercolours for his team. On a graphic level, I always take more pleasure. I chose my subjects to complete the riders profiles. I'm really inspired by comics and made my artworks evolve by including India ink, but in a different way from my debuts. Then I was colouring a layout made with India ink. Now, I start with a layout made with a lead pencil, then I colour up and I put India ink at the end. The main interest is to get a bigger impression of sharpness and more contrast. It asks more time but, today, it's my favourite technique. Many projects are already started for 2008. Since December, in addition to the site renovation, I started the watercolours for the next French Grand Prix. The first ones will be online at the end of May. Till then, weekly updates are scheduled to make your see my winter works. |
