When the '2007 MotoGP season started, nobody could imagine that Sylvain guintoli would have such a good first season. Not even him... Consistant and more and more competitive, he highlighted himself in several occasions : leading the French Grand Prix (fifth round of the championship), finishing first of a free session at Brno and fourth of the Japanese Grand Prix at Motegi (just behind Toni Elias).
